What a great event. The fish did not cooperate as well as they could have, but everyone had a great time, the weather was wonderful, gave out a ton of door prizes and made a good amount for Veteran Outdoors. Many, many thanks for all involved. A lot of hours went into this and it paid off. Looking forward to next year. Congrats to Nathan Fish of Hillsboro Ks and Joe Gilsdorf of Salina Ks. They collected the first prize of $1000 for a limit of bass that went 11.07 pounds. Our own Jason Keller and his warrior partner, Brandon Smith took 4th place honors along with Big Bass that weighed 3.40 pounds. Way to go guys.

It was a great tournament and I feel we once again showed the Junction city community that we are in this for the long haul as long as long as we are welcome and they continue to support our mission. Darryl Glassinger did an outstanding job as weighmaster and conducting the post tournament festivities...be sure to congratulate him on a job well done! There are numerous hours that go into presenting an event such as this and Jason Wagner needs to be thanked for his commitment to this great cause. I myself am very proud of Jason and feel that he has went far above and beyond to make this event successful once again this year. With his leadership and vision this event will only continue to grow. Thanks to all the guys that helped sell raffle tickets, spread the word, and work the event! Thanks to Twila, Fran, Ginger, Melissa, and Katelyn for helping set up, register, sell, and tear down. I can't imagine what we would do without your help.

I also want to say that I had a good time.. I didn't make it last year and being a veteran myself, I thought this was an outstanding event. Nice job to everyone that helped out.

Thanks for serving Russ! I didn't know that. For a bunch of knuckleheads we know how to put on a great event...at least i think we do.

I was glad to serve. It wasn't the best time to join, but it was an experience I have grown from and makes me appreciate everything I have. Would do it all over again. Just not at my age now.. Old fart...
